Okay, I think I shorted Fleet Foxes in that last post. I did have a similar immediate obsession with them; it just didn’t involve as much digging online, so that’s why it feels new. But they have definitely been my favorite band of 2008, with CSS coming in second, I believe.
wolf parade & a return to fandom
I think I have a new favorite band. It’s a sad truth, but it’s unusual these days for me to go look up a band’s website, myspace and youtube, read their bio, and try to tell who’s who in their pictures. Really odd, considering that’s almost all I did in high school… with the exception of ‘myspace and youtube’ which weren’t around. But...
going for the gold
So I had a request for my novel from a fairly large agency this week. No pressure or anything. I spent all weekend re-editing and then sent it off last night. I don’t want to get carried away but I can think of nothing better right now (since the music has become such a low-key thing these days, sadly) than having an agent and writing full time from home.
